Week 4: Crime & Public Safety/ Transportation & Infrastructure Commerce /Gun Violence

  • CRIME & PUBLIC SAFETY: I believe this is a critical issue because it directly impacts the quality of life for our citizens and the overall health of our communities. Rising crime rates lead to increased fear and insecurity, disrupt businesses, and strain public resources. In my previous terms in the government, I consistently advocated for a "tough-on-crime" stance.

  • TRANSPORTATION & INFRASTRUCTURE COMMERCE: I believe improving national infrastructure is a priority. Investing in infrastructure stimulates economic growth, creates jobs, and makes transportation systems more efficient. Many transportation systems are outdated and need repair by modernizing highways, bridges, railways, airports and seaports. I signed a 9.2 BILLION transportation budget, because I am for the people, by the people, and with the people.

  • GUN VIOLENCE: I believe that gun violence is a serious issue, however, I also firmly believe in the Second Amendment rights of American citizens. It's a delicate balance that requires careful consideration and nuanced policy-making. To address gun violence, I would enforce existing laws, improve mental health services, and crack down on illegal gun trafficking. I believe that law-abiding citizens shouldn’t be penalized for the actions of criminals.
